Humans are so paranoid that visitors from extra terrestrial territories are always viewed with suspicion. However friendly alien visitors to this planet are, humans continue to treat them as invaders trying to harm the planet and all life on it. Actually, aliens are very friendly creatures and everything associated with them, like their spaceships, must be treated with respect.

The Solar UFOs developed by engineering firm NTT Facilities looks like a giant sized UFO and is extremely environmentally friendly. The machines are solar powered and disc shaped, and quite huge standing at 5ft tall and 16ft across. The Solar UFOs will float across the canals of Osaka, Japan, and work as water purifiers. The machines have a set of solar panels on top which power the filtration system. Making them more UFO-like in appearance are the LEDs along the side of the spaceship.

The Solar UFOs clean the waters of bird droppings and other filth and the clean water is sprayed out through the top of the machine. The Solar UFOs would be operating in Dotonbori canal till mid-October and in the Osaka Castle moat till the end of March. Currently, the Solar UFOs are not for sale but are on display at the Aqua Metropolis festival.
