610x Soldiers Loot Shopkeepers, Civilians In Harare

In a more sinister turn of events, soldiers who couldn’t withdraw cash from an ATM machine in Harare went amok and looted bystanders and shopkeepers. The soldiers and the militia enjoy a great amount of freedom and strength and have been exercising their powers over Zimbabweans. Local people have been vocal about voicing their disappointment about the behavior of these soldiers.

Mugabe enjoys a great degree of support from soldiers and if their support should wean, he would find it difficult to run the country. People have been troubled because of the cholera outbreak and lack of water in the country. Defense forces were seen looting and harassing people without any qualms. Such incidents would continue to terrorize the minds of local Zimbabwean people who are already traumatized by the torturous regime of Robert Mugabe.

The military has also been accused of helping Mugabe stay in power by rigging elections and engaging in a campaign of violence targeted at the opposition parties. The situation right now in Harare is grim and may need international attention always is lacking in this troubled nation.
