
The crew members of two Egyptian ships captured by pirates in Somali waters in April killed two of the kidnappers and they kept other ten, after fighting them, and took the command of the embarkations, affirmed to the agency of news today EFE the only pirate that got to escape after the combat.
According to the source, the 40 crew members began to attack on Thursday the pirates with clubs and axes, and they got to catch some of the kidnappers’ weapons, after the conversations between the company landlady of the embarkation and the attackers failed.
The only pirate that escaped, identified as Miraa, told EFE in the hospital of Badhan that more ten kidnappers are now under the crew members’ of the Egyptian ships power.
“I saw how they killed two of my companions, and they will kill more, because they are very gotten angry”, Miraa said.
The two Egyptian embarkations, after the combat with the kidnappers, navigated for the coast of Yemen; they were kept close to the coast of Badhan since April, when the Somali pirates captured them in the Gulf of Aden.
The pirates from Somalia kidnapped more than 40 embarkations in the last year and they received more from US$ 200 million in ransom.
