Sony Ericsson’s Sales are Stabilizing

Sony Ericsson, the cell phone manufacturer may witness steady sales this season. The demand for the consumer durables have been very sluggish with recession knocking on every household. Unemployment was another reason why the customers were tightening their purse strings.

Sony Ericsson has reposted that there was a positive sign in the market and the sales may stabilize in the consumer durable segment, especially in the European and the US market. The sales figure is still weak in countries like India, Russia and even Middle Eastern nations.

The company has been able to bounce back rather quickly since their major loss in the season between January and March. The increase in consumer demand has brought back the positivity in the company. This is rather good news, after the recent speculation that the company may break up due the major losses. Sony Ericsson is a joint venture between Japan’s Sony Corp and Sweden’s Ericsson.

Although, the recovery of the slowdown may take a while, early signs of recovery such as these are always welcomed. The consumer demand should keep increasing steadily.
