Sony PlayStation 3 Console Now Capable Of 3D Blu-ray Disc Playback

One of the most beloved gaming consoles, Sony PlayStation 3, has been on an continuous update roll since the beginning of this year and as the year 2010 nears its end, Sony Corporation has provided the console with yet another addition to its line of updates in the form of 3D Blu-ray disc playback capability. So far, Sony has already projected a 2.5 million units as the sales figures for the company’s own line of 3D-equipped TV sets by the end of the year 2010 and plans to shift its focus to the mid market segment from the high end segment. The all new Blu-ray playback firmware update 3.50 for the Sony PS3 will be delivered to the consoles, that will be connected to the Internet and the update can be downloaded as well as installed via the console’s ‘settings’ menu option. This all new update will also enable the gamers to report any and all unwanted messages they receives via the PS3′s PlayStation Network messaging system and on the other hand, Sony also sees this update creating a vast and deeper integration between the console and popular social networking services, such as Facebook.
