ARMADA has just designed a conceptual Sound Bulb which combines the efficiency of a lamp and the utility of a speaker. The design aims at reducing clutter on the table and makes sure you do not have to use bulbs and speakers separately.

The Sound Bulb is a speaker which is shaped like a traditional speaker and you could us it with any home lamp as it comes with a standard thread. The Edison thread (E26/E27) is found in most houses and you just need to place the speaker in it. Once you do so, the receiver embedded in the Sound Bulb connects to musical devices like iPod, PC, Mobile Phone and others.

You could even get yourself a chandelier with Sound Bulbs, which makes a formal place turn into an entertainment zone as and when you need it. The design is workable and when some company decides to manufacture the concept, we can listen to all the awesome music coming straight from the bulbs. However, if you want to listen to music in the dark, it may not be for you!
