South Korea’s “The Ecorium Project” Plan Is Revealed

The Ecorium Project, which is a part of the soon to be launched National Ecological Institute (NEI) of South Korea site, will leave you dumbfounded by its grand view. It is revealed by Samoo Architecture. The project is often called as the “Eden Project of the South.” The Ecorium Project is spread over 33,090 sq m of floor area. It comprises a series of interlinking domes. The most fascinating part of the project is the fact that the domes are wedge-shaped greenhouses. No shade is used in the project.

The exterior flaunts the metal panel, low iron low-e double glazing, wood and Plexiglas finishes. Leaf like lines called ‘Sinuous’ are used and echoed with the landscaping. This is such a welcome change that will soothe the burning environment, and it will also help educate the commoners about ecology and its changes and effects as well.

When the ‘global warming’ is already doing major harms to our nature, it indeed is such a precious thing to have a project like this. When seen from a great height, the structure looks like a tributary river. When the NEI plans are extended, they will eventually include a large wild plant reserve, wetlands reserve, visitors center and railway join the Ecorium that will create a common public haven for the study of nature. It’s a total treat per se for nature lovers.
