Thirdly it states that social processes become individual psychological processes. This means that social speech become private speech and finally inner speech. It also believes that adults are very important as they can be considered as the change agents or the ones that bring change.

He believed that a child’s private speech is very important in shaping a child’s cognitive development. This private speech occurs due to what is heard and seen in the society and culture, and that can be called ‘social speech’.
