
In a couple of hours from now Total Solar Eclipse will be visible from Asian countries. This will be the longest total solar eclipse of this century which will last for nearly five minutes and more than six minutes at maximum visibility point.
The stage is all set for astronomers and enthusiasts keen to watch amazing celestial event when earth will be plunged into darkness for five to six minutes during the day. In parts India, this will happen sunrise and hence will be all the more spectacular. The eclipse will be visible from parts of India, Nepal, Burma, Bangladesh, Bhutan, China and Japan.
Scientists and astronomers will be collecting data from across geographical locales to understand solar flares, structure of the sun and other phenomena.
Total Solar Eclipse is a rare celestial spectacular event which generates interest among amateur star gazers, photographers too. People are traveling on plane or taking a cruise to catch a glimpse of diamond ring and other amazing phases of the total solar eclipse. The next total solar will be seen next year in July in the southern hemisphere across southern Pacific Ocean to Argentina.
