I have always wondered what the Victorians used to do when they were really randy. It is common knowledge that they were some of the most prudish people on earth. They even used to cover the table legs as that would inspire “dirty thoughts” among people.

When people were so prudish, that didn’t mean they were highly chaste or anhedonic. In order to prove their hypocrisy, here is a steampunk vibrator that looks more like a medieval torture device to me. This vibrator is also steam powered adding to the torture theory. A user reported being burned while pleasuring herself/himself.

The device has been advertised and also exhibited in Femina Potens Art Gallery. This Steampunk painful vibrator was designed by Ani Niow, who seems to be really Victorian by designing such a torture device so that people stop pleasuring themselves. Repression is back with a bang.
