Steve Haslip has designed the Bipolar Chair which represents the dichotomies of human existence. While it is common knowledge that we all go through our ups and downs, it is very important for us all to know that we can either be sad or joyous.

However, many people forget that there could be a state of mind when you are joyous and sad at the same time. Thus, sometimes Bipolar state can be a misnomer. In this case, this chair certainly represents the human duality and the way each one of us are split into two, thanks to the ghosts in our mind.

This chair won an editorial award at the ICFF. There is a mirror in the middle and it creates the illusion of the chair being complete. Unfortunately the chair is just half, and this is the dichotomy that the chair intends to portray.
