The world of space tourism has seen a exponential growth in the last decade or so as more and more companies are racing towards providing the rich and the famous with new luxurious means of giving them a ride of their lives. Even though some of the most advertised sub orbital space tourism programs are currently in their test phases, one company, Xtraordinary Adventures, begun the process of booking seats for sub orbital flights in the company’s Lynx reusable space vehicle.
The packages offered by Xtraordinary Adventures seem to be a great bargain when compared to the price of $102,000 per flight charged by Space Adventures and $200,000 per flight being the fee of Virgin Galactic. Xtraordinary Adventures will take the passengers on to sub orbital flight with a price tag of just $95,000. All the interested individuals would be required to make an initial deposit of $20,000 for the booking, that would also include a four-day training session and two days of pre-flight briefing for a 30 minute ride to an altitude of 200,000 feet, also known as the Microgravity environment zone.

Good to see competition in the space tourism industry, but a $95k ticket price still doesn’t make space tourism even close to affordable for the masses.
