16 Suborbital Vehicles May Kick Start Space Tourism

What could be better than spending the weekend up there in the skies, with someone you care for and love! Space travel, which was, once limited to science fiction is now turning reality thanks to ventures and scientific developments. However, things really have not kick started because of many limitations and the exorbitant price that is involved.

Rocket Racing Inc, Armadillo Aerospace, and the state of New Mexico have collaborated to build suborbital vehicles in order to take space tourists on a journey beyond our planet. The spacecraft will be designed to provide the passengers with a 360 degrees view. Apparently, these vehicles are reusable and would be put in place by 2009. Estimated price of the tickets is $100,000 and only the rich and famous may be able to afford.

However, space travel may pose questions like safety of the passengers, affordability, time frame and also the willingness of people to choose space travel without thinking twice. The latter I would say needs no thinking about, for most would give away anything in order to be able to travel in space, but the rest, I am not sure.
