In what could be seen as a dangerous trend of news and events in Pakistan, 28 people were killed in a suicide bombing when the attacker targeted a Shia funeral. The Shia leader Sher Zeman had about 1000 people attending his funeral and soon gunfire broke out after the attack.
The police could hardly do anything and flesh and blood lay all across the place. Sectarian violence in Pakistan has been especially gruesome and the attacks have usually been targeted at the Shia community. These sectarian riots and the Talibanization of the Northern Pakistan poses a great threat to the country and as well as its neighbors.
The thugs and hoodlums who are running the government in the Swat valley would pose a threat to the Pakistani government which is just 100 miles away. Eventually, if the Pakistani government continues to behave the way it has been, the Swat valley thugs will pose a security threat to the neighboring countries as well. Radicalization of religion is certainly the major reason why such violence is being perpetrated all across the Middle East and South Asia.
