After attacking the torrents site The Pirate Bay, the record labels ones and movies studios are about to other battle against that they affirm to be promoting piracy: this time, the objective is the Dutch site Mininova, that also brings torrents for several content types, and a considerable part is of material protected by copyrights.
A court also in Sweden decided that Mininova has three months to remove the whole content considered illegal. The court accused Mininova of to promote and to violate contents protected by copyrights and of profiting with publicity obtained starting from those activities. In case the site refuses to accomplish with the judicial determination, it will be forced to pay fines.
In a declaration, Erik Dubbelboer, founder of Mininova, said that was disappointed with the decision and that the company will revalue its operations. It is not also discarded the possibility of the site to appeal of the decision of the Swedish Justice.
On the other hand The Pirate Bay suffered a new reverse on this week, when the provider Black Internet, that maintained the connection of the site to the web, accepted a judicial decision and it suspended the service. Two days later, however, the torrents site returned to the air, with other provider.
