An Australian scientist who invented the recording equipment flight data known as “black box” has died at age 85, defense officials said on Wednesday.
David Warren, whose father was killed in a plane crash in 1934 in Australia, was a scientist of the Aeronautical Research Laboratories in Melbourne.
