It will be presented October 6 in Tokio in CEATEC, larger conference of technology of Japan, the revolutionary’s 3D prototype camera of Sony, that promises recordings with the use of just one lens.

The release of the camera HFR Comfort 3D can mark an important change in the filmings, because the use of only one lens will allow to the spectators so much to attend the same sequence in 3D as in 2D, giving like this a more universal character to the format.

The new camera will solve one of the problems of the current recording method, that is the complicated sincronization which is need – among the two lenses of the traditional system the two lenses need to be carefully aligned and synchronized so that the resulting images have the same angle of 3D perception when exhibited.

The new system works using different sensor of image: the initial sequence is recorded through the only lens and the images are captured then by mirrors by two sensor CMOS: one of them is responsible for the capture that the right eye will see, and the other concentrates on the images that will be visualized by the left eye.

According to the site TechWatch, the new technology tends to reduce the costs of recording 3D programs for television, and it will allow these programs to be quickly carried for smaller screens.

There is absolutely no denying the fact that an astronaut’s job is not at all rosy. The amount of hardships an astronaut endures in the space station is perhaps beyond a layman’s imagination. Nevertheless, it appears to be very fascinating to many of us. The European Space Agency (ESA) has created a wearable augmented reality system, which is dubbed as “WEAR” in short.

This has been especially designed to use in the ISS (International Space Station), and it is able to overlay the names, purposes and instructions for items in the ISS.This makes the life easier for astronauts as the device allows hands-free and voice activation of these items in the space station.

The device comes with a camera, which is placed on top, and it captures what the astronaut looks at and then maps to the 3D map of the spaceship. As of now, the device has been successfully tested in the ISS. An astronaut used it to change an air filter and it showed positive results. I wonder what the next application will be that astronauts may be interested in upgrading.

The slim and flat camera doesn’t have the design for fingers hands that have lost their fine motor skills. As difficult as holding and managing a pen, the flat camera may have a sleek design but isn’t what most old people would reach to use. The buttons are slightly small and older people would feel clumsy trying to handle them.

The addition of the printer also makes this gadget slightly more hi-tech for individuals who would rather just click the picture and have the techies handle the rest of it. Instead of leaving them feeling self-reliant, this gadget would leave them frustrated. However, it’s just a concept which means it can always be improved!
