Asus Gears Up For The Eee PC T101 Tablet Notebook Launch

The Consumer Electronics Show 2009 witnessed the introduction of an all new tablet notebook from AsusTek, called the Eee PC T101. With the 10 inch display screen, the T101 tablet was put off for some time, now amounting to 12 months, for further refinement and now, Asus is all geared up for the launch of the tablet device.

The all new Asus Eee PC T101 tablet notebook features a responsive multitouch display screen and is powered by an Intel Atom N450 Pine Trail processor, crunching out 1.6 GHz of clock speed and is equally complimented by 1 GB of RAM. This configuration has been designated for the starter editions of the machine, that will be inclusive of a 16o GB hard drive. The highre end modes of the Asus Eee PC T101 tablet notebook will entail 2 GB of RAM with a whopping 320 GB hard drive, all the while retaining the Intel Atom 1.6 GHz processor.

The Asus Eee PC T101 tablet notebook is also embedded with bluetooth feature and wifi connectivity, along with a much better and larger ergonomic keyboard, as against the one that is available in its predecessor, the T91MT.

CES 2009: Gravitonus iClubby, Workstation For Gamers

CES 2009: Solarbulb from MiniWIZ Turns Old Bottles into Lampshades

CES 2009 is proving to be an eye candy for techno freaks, but at the same time it is gratifying the ecologists with its conscientious products. After the Hymini Portable Wind Charger, miniWIZ has come up with its latest product, an outdoor lamp that illuminates old plastic bottles with the sunlight.

Powered by 0.18 W solar cells, the SolarBulb gets fully charged within 3-4 hours and will provide incessant light for around 6 hours during the night. Clad in UV-ABS weatherproof casing, the lamp is suitable for use in all climates and comes with an incline-able top that can be conveniently turned towards the sun. It can be installed in a tick to any bottle with or without fluid in it, and when its sensor detects gloom automatically, the LED lights illumine.

Expected to be priced at around $23-25 each, the green bulb that isn’t available for purchase now will soon be on hand with one or two LED bulbs in an array of colors. This looks like an attractive design to turn all your used plastic bottles into only one of its kind solar powered light fittings, right! Therefore, all those eco-techies out there get one soon…

CES 2009: Total Immersion Demonstrates Augmented Reality

CES 2009 is finally coming to a close Total Immersion was one of the few who dared to go beyond the usual. The company made use of Augmented Reality to create special effects. These special effects were created in real time and they just used a camera and a computer and they used the K’nex toy to create awesome images on the monitor.

In fact, they made the toy come to animated life and it moved in the right way. They are working and launching this new Augmented Reality Image Software which may change the way animated movies are made. I hope this image software gets commercialized and makes its inroads into the market, and we could try special effects in real time on our computers, using a camera!

Augmented Reality Image Software may find innumerable takers especially among 3D animators, filmmakers, cartoonists etc. Hope this does get released and doesn’t get stalled for some weird reason as it usually happens!

CES 2009: Palm Pre and Later

At CES 2009, we already found the Palm but there was more to it, as someone found out. Most people have already discussed and blogged about the Palm Pre so much that there is a lot of confusion and doubt about the product itself.

However, the Palm is an excellent phone, which comes with an almost perfect OS. I say it is almost perfect because there still is room for improvement, and I am sure the company will make changes. This is still the pre and when the ‘post’ arrives, we definitely must see many changes made to their new OS.

The hardware of the phone is rather excellent but the keyboard could have been better. You could easily browse, search and chat with people without any difficulties. The Palm comes with all the known features and perhaps more and we will know more when we get to lay our hands on it.

CES 2009: HP Unveils Mini 2140 Netbook

HP has continued to fuel the craze for netbooks, which was originally started by Sony and Asus. However, HP’s netbook comes with awesome specs and you just cannot ignore it easily. Their latest Mini 2140 Notebook PC was unveiled at the CES 2009 and had the crowds begging for more.

The HP 2140 comes with a 10.1 inch screen and a stylish and sleek aluminium body. This happens to be the only Ultra Mobile PC with a keyboard that is almost the size of a QWERTY keyboard. We shall just have to wait and watch until more is revealed about this cool netbook.

However, I am not sure if the netbook is 3G enabled, but I assume it has Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. It comes with a 80GB hard drive and also the HP 3D Driveguard. The VGA Webcam will only make your video conferencing easier and the WLAN feature is there for sure. It is expected to cost $499 and will be made available this month.

CES 2009: HP Unveils Stylish Computer Peripherals

HP has unveiled one too many products at the CES 2009 and it is always a pleasure to write about gadgets unveiled by companies like HP. The HP App for iPhone was not only cool but it was also extremely functional.

HP unveiled their cool peripherals at the CES 2009 and this included colourful mice with awesome abilities. The mice come in stylish and colourful patterns and cost $30 to $40. The company is also all set to unveil their wireless eco mouse, which is apparently green and clean. 30% of the product is made of recycled materials.

Some other gadgets unveiled by HP was a digital photo frame which plays radio and can sync to Picasa and Flickr. The digital frame will cost $170. All these products will be unveiled in a few months. Let us just wait and watch until then. Patience, they say, is a virtue.

CES 2009 saw HP unveil their awesome business PC and many other gadgets. They also unveiled a cool new app, which allows you to print directly from your iPhone. The new HP app allows you print any goddamn image you decide is print worthy and you can just have it in hand, hard copy.

Imagine being able to print all those cool images you find when browsing the net on Safari! Well, the app isn’t a totally outlandish one but is definitely functional and will print images of 4 inches and 6 inches. It works just like it is advertised and is sure to gain a multitude of users.

It is available at the App store and is a great way to add more functionality to your cellphone. iPhone had already been a overused and over written topic but now people may find a renewed interest in the product thanks to all these awesome apps available.
