The Chinese government and observers said the environmental cleanup of the largest recorded oil spill in the country progressed on Thursday, but that the economic and environmental damage are not yet fully known.
To make matters worse, the oil hit the beaches in Dalian, as the oil slick has doubled from yesterday to today.

The invitation applies to big-time developers and financiers, that is. Major industry players the world over will definitely be enticed by the country’s proven reserves of 115 billion barrels, the third largest in the world after Saudi Arabia and Iran. Millions of barrels more lie undiscovered.
