If you have a considerably large laptop for viewing pleasure and spend hours working on it, then ‘hot thighs’ is a problem that must have come up before everyone went around trying to find an appropriate solution. A laptop pillow is actually one of the best ways to deal with the problem and among all the little tricks that we have come across to keep the pants cool; this one is simple, easy to follow and even offers a cushion for your laptop. But for those who prefer the cooling pads and would like to jump in on the trend, Belkin is offering its latest laptop cooling pad.

With a patent-pending AirFlow Wing and a patented wave design, this little sleek gadget from Belkin will help prevent your thighs from getting burnt. The USB-powered in-built fan offers a further cooling option, but this also means that you cannot be working very long of your laptop battery as this would cut into the charge. The cooling pad can accommodate a 15.4-inch laptop, making sure that it almost covers the entire range.

Priced at $30, you can pick one of these on Amazon for just $ 25 and while it might not be state-of-the-art in laptop cooling, it sure provides a very viable option.

I never thought that carrying a USB mouse was all that difficult anyway and packing is all that troublesome in any case, but for those who love everything in a neat, clean and orderly fashion (unlike in a few cases like my own), Elecom have brought out something that is both vivacious in its look and ergonomic in its style. The M-MK1UR is a 1000 dpi mouse with a USB cable that can be easily hidden and fitted in the body of the mouse with absolutely no problems at all. Just roll in the coil and zip it up and you are all set for the travel.

Apart from its easy-to-use style and freedom of travel that it offers, the best part seems to be its design and the fact that it comes in more than just one color… Even the cute pink shade that should make all the girls really happy! Nice and tidy with a lovely finish, the Wind-up mouse is probably a fine accessory along with your latest laptop, but just be sure that you pick one that matches the notebook. While we are not really sure when exactly this will be available in the US, in the mean time we suggest you use your existing USB by just bundling it up… Works fine for us!

In the modern age, it is the brand and its logo that makes or breaks the company and become its most identifiable face in the market. It is the ‘short-hand’ that symbolizes the brand’s value and something that the consumer can instantly connect to. Whether it is the tick of Nike of the lines of Adidas, the ‘M’ of McDonald’s or the ‘g’ of Google, they form the most powerful representation of the organization and an easy way to make sales. Designer Ignacio Pilotto decided to use this familiarity with brand logos to replace the letters in the keyboard with the brands.

The keyboard is nothing revolutionary in the technological sense, but it does have something unique from the design side. Instead of using the alphabets, the brands whose name starts with the corresponding alphabets are replaced. Of course, all these are global brands and Ignacio is working under the premise that everyone instantly recognizes all of them (Which might be not always true). Despite its unusual design, it seems pretty cool. Just that for someone who is already not very good at using the keyboard, this could be a complete nightmare!

It seems these days that the good stuff is only being sold in Japan and the rest of the world has to just wait and hope that it comes across Pacific sooner than later. Just a few days back we saw the exclusive Manga Keyboard released in the Far East and now it is the turn of the latest in the line up of silent keyboards that makes its way onto store shelves. Thanko have already created quite a buzz and have sold many, many keyboards with their first generation ‘silent’ keyboard and now it is the turn of the next step in evolution. The EX is designed to further cut down on the noise factor when you type by bringing down the decibel count to just 44.5 dB.

This makes the EX 16.5 dB less noisy than any other keyboard in the market today and if you thought that was all then Thanko has more in store for you… quite literally! The silent EX Keyboard comes bundled with Silent Mouse EX; the package exclusively available in only Japan at retail price. Heartening news for Japanese and heart-breaking for techno-geeks across the world!
