Keychest, as it called, is meant to redefine ownership as access rights, not physically possessing a copy.

It would allow consumers to pay a single price for permanent access to a movie or TV show across multiple digital platforms and devices — from the Web, to mobile gadgets like iPhones and cable services. It will make movie viewing possible anywhere once you buy the access rights.

Keychest aims to address two of the biggest hurdles blocking widespread consumer adoption of movie downloads: the difficulty of playing a movie back on devices other than a PC or laptop, and limited storage space on those computers’ hard drives.
It would on the other hand, put Disney on a collision course with an initiative, known as the Digital Entertainment Content Ecosystem, or DECE, that aims similar.

Keychest uses the same “cloud computing” logic that underlies Web-based applications, such as Google Docs, permitting users to store files and photographs on remote Internet servers and access them from anywhere, rather than keeping them on their own computers.
The release comes during a downslide slip of Hollywood’s DVD sales badly.

We know that “Change is inevitable.” Every society is ever at a constant flux. Gone are the days when the public would rush madly to the newly built shopping mall to shop or eat or to have some fun or entertainment. Gradually, most people seem to prefer things that are unique and would surprise them often.

With change, come the Pop-Up stores in the forms of bars, clubs, shops and restaurants in unexpected locations. They often tend to create a lot of news and draw people’s attention rather copiously. However, many of them also get disappeared even before people hardly notice them.

Well, if you happen to visit Paris anytime soon, then you cannot miss this one gorgeous pop-up-restaurant called “Le Palais de Tokyo” designed by Pascal Grasso. From this restaurant, you can get a beautiful view of the world famous Eiffel Tower and Seine. Without any doubts, this restaurant is a purely romantic one per se.

I would just love to go there and have a sumptuous meal and enjoy the beautiful view. The restaurant however, can accommodate only 12 customers as it has only 12 seats. It works well for me as I prefer less crowded eateries.

Well, well education really seems to have lost popularity in one of the most developed nations on the globe. Non-Profit Organisations and major corporate bodies of U.S. are launching “Get Schooled” initiative at Paramount Pictures Lot in Hollywood on Sept 8. The main aim is to reform the nation’s public schools and promote education.

Among big names who will be part of this national initiative are The Bill and Mellinda Gates Foundation and Viacom who will be joined by big corporate partners like AT&T, NYSE Euronext and others. Bill Gates, Viacom President and CEO Philippe Dauman, Deputy Secretary of Education, a film maker, a columnist and many others will give a presentation at the conference.  A 30 minute documentary, “Get Schooled: You Have the Right” will also be screened.

It is intriguing that business and entertainment industry are taking forward education initiative in such a big way, that too during the time of recession and layoffs. The land which not so long ago promoted ‘Home Schooling’ is now going to inspire students and communities to get educated in classrooms and schools. Maybe education does play a big role in economy and future of the nation so it is being promoted as trendy and entertaining. But isn’t it too late to learn the lessons?

The legend might have passed away into sunset and his heart might have ceased beating, but his prodigious talent and phenomenal skill still remain etched in the hearts of those who can still remember him moonwalk his way onto the top step of entertainment business’ hall of fame. The distributors in the land of Bollywood, India have been demanding the multiplexes to share half of the box office revenues regardless of the film star casts and the budget. Producers and the distributors in the Bollywood have joined hands to put forward their demand in this long term dispute of revenue sharing with multiplexes. Big names like Mahesh Bhatt, Eros International, Yash Chopra, Indian Film Company are few who have been pressurizing the multiplexes. Hollywood studies like Fox, Disney, Sony Entertainment, and Warner Brothers have joined the league of the Indian distributors as well.

No new films will be released post April 3 if the multiplexes do not agree to this demand. If the distributors and the film makers do not release any films, then the losses incurred by the multiplexes will be very heavy. With the rising income of an average Indian, their spending habits have changed too. Cash is spent liberally on leisure and entertainment than in the last decade.

Together with the multiplexes, the producers can’t afford to hold back the new releases too. With a combined amount of 250 crores riding on the new releases, it is important that a both the parties reach a quick solution and keep the masses entertained this summer.
