The Honda CR-Z concept looks very similar to the Skydeck concept and I am plagued with doubts if the two cars are the same. The CR-Z concept is apparently very near to production in February 2010.
The Honda CR-Z concept looks very similar to the Skydeck concept and I am plagued with doubts if the two cars are the same. The CR-Z concept is apparently very near to production in February 2010. The car seems to take inspiration from Audi, which definitely isn’t a great thing as it lacks originality.

The interiors look like they are full of clutter and the box shape of the car is a cross between the Audi and the Asian designs, which I seem to particularly dislike. The 1.5 litre version of Honda’s IMA system (currently available as a 1.3 litre in the Civic Hybrid and Insight) is something to look forward to.

The CR-Z comes with a 6-speed manual transmission which isn’t a bad thing to have. I would still like to see Honda come up with a better model than this, for it does not exactly have anything outstanding. If only Honda realized that they are the best when it comes to stylish designs and that they do not need to copy, it would be great.

Honda Skydeck has been unveiled recently at the Tokyo Motor Show 2009 and it looks pretty much like he Subaru Hybrid Tourer Concept which I wrote about some time ago. This car too comes with the weird door arrangement but it still looks cool though.

The rather skewed door opening arrangement may be replaced with a normal one when it is finally unveiled in the market. It is expected to rival the Ford S-max and replace the FR-V in Europe. The Skydeck can seat a number of people thanks to the 3 rows of seats and the hybrid system battery is located in the centre.

There is a lot of free space and since Honda is particularly concerned with power, you can expect a great performance though not awesome fuel efficiency. There isn’t much information available about its specs but it should be one of the coolest looking to be launched in the past couple of days. Just wait for a while and more information could be made available.

Alias is an extreme sports vehicle designed especially for the motorsports enthusiasts by Luke Norman Price. Alias is devised for the Conventry University (UK) Degree Show 2009 and is opened to the public from May 30, 09. Alias is not only special but also different from other sports vehicles. It can hold sports equipments without sacrificing interior cabin space, which is most often a common problem, faced by most of the sports vehicles.

Alias is designed for Honda and the car has a unique shape, which is achieved by conniving it around four users that are seated in a diamond formation. This further gives a pear shaped outer body to the car and allows the users to stock their sports equipments to the outer skin of the vehicle. The vehicle generates power from a 2.2 liter Honda V-tec engine.

Each seat of Alias doubles up as a personal heated clothes rail and all the seats are attached to a frame. The coolest thing about alias is that you can even hang your wet/dirty clothes on the 3 clothes rails, which are placed on the back of each seat. Should you require changing your clothes during your sports activities, you can do it. This one is a cool sports vehicle.

Word’s out! Honda Access Corporation is creating a buzz with two new Modulo*2 concept vehicles getting all their glory at the Tokyo Auto Salon 2009. The main reason behind all the attention is the sports customisation of the cars with their distinctly chiseled exterior while the interior promises a quality driving experience.

The Sports Modulo S2000 draws inspiration from the S2000 convertible roaster. And we are sure that this wonder car will be a hit with connoisseurs because of its superior performance and, compact and sporty look. The car engine is nimble and purrrs as smooth as butter.

Apart from the Sports Modulo vehicles, we liked the Life Style Study by Honda. Isnpired by the bling factor, this coupe comes equipped with pink Swarovski crystals all over the ar body, that includes the exhaust pipe tip and wheels too. Even the car seats flaunt shells in different colors. All in all, special attention has been paid to make the car look as feminine and vibrant as possible. These cars feature the most advanced design and techniques researched by Honda. We especially liked the cool car navigation as well as the audio systems.

In the age of the internet, media leaks and spy shots, the automobile industry does not really get much of a chance to pull off major surprises when it comes to car unveilings on grand stages. The art of concealment becomes all the more difficult when you are a really big player in the auto world as there are many eyes pushing and prodding for the latest. Yet, Honda have proven over this weekend that it is still not an impossible art and that they are the masters at pulling off such uncanny surprises and catching the world off guard.

After showing the year old CR-Z concept and the Insight hybrid concept that debuted at the Paris show, product planning manager of Honda, Dan Bonawitz, unveiled a brand new concept car to stun everyone present there. The Honda FC Sport Concept us one of the best kept secrets at any auto show in the recent past. The car that was unveiled really looked fit for the stage and justified the effort with V-Flow fuel cell stack and electric drivetrain from the FCX Clarity. The FC Sport is a three-seat sports car was displayed to show the potential of hydrogen fuel cells.

The car for now is very much a concept which probably will undergo some tweaking and a few changes before becoming a reality. Honda did not have anything to say in regards to when, if ever, it would hit the road. But with Honda, you can bet that the road version would come out sooner than later.

I would like to know what makes these Japanese cars so special! I wouldn’t deny that their robotics and gaming technologies are second to none, but Japanese cars are just not for me. They do not look rugged and large enough like the American cars do. Nevertheless, here is an interesting small car from the land of Nippon and it looks pretty cool, in spite of being small like an apartment in Osaka. The Honda Life, which was launched way back in 1970s, is getting a makeover and an upgrade.

The successor is called the ‘Life’ and comes with a 660cc inline 3 cylinder and the engine is either aspirated or turbocharged. The metal yard is then linked to a 4 speed automatic transmission. There are 3 models, including the Life G-Type, Life Diva and the gorgeous Life Pastel. It also happens to be the first Kei car to come with a backup camera and is disabled friendly too.

For those who cry foul over cars polluting the atmosphere, the Life does not create much smoke and will be released perhaps after a decade. And that is exactly what bugs me the most about these cool cars from Japan; they never reach the other side of the Pacific Ocean.
