According to Freeman, almost 4 million users worldwide have already jailbreaked their iPhone and  iPod Touch devices to use Cydia. However, Cook is being optimistic about the situation and states that, Apple might be able to launch its iPhone 3GS in countries where iPhone 3G already exists by the end of September this year.

In a statement, Tim Cook said,

“In terms of affecting the country rollout, I believe the vast majority of the countries that we are selling the 3G in we will be selling the 3GS I think by the end of the fiscal quarter. It may move a date by a few weeks here or there.”

Cook has also expressed his satisfaction on the issue of wireless carriers across the globe, who, according to Cook, are very excited about the prospect of launching iPhone 3GS in partnership with their own brands.

In an interview, Cook termed the new iPhone 3.0 version OS as the “world’s most advanced mobile platform” and proudly commended the Apple App iStore that has been able to achieve 1.5 billion milestone of downloads, due to its 65,000 and increasing iPhone apps.
