If you are the kind of person who cannot jog or run in order to get some exercise, you would at least need to start walking. If even walking is a hassle and you need the support of a walking stick, you could try the Pedomostick. The device measures the number of steps you took, calories burned, distance covered and such other statistics which are available on an LCD screen.

There is also an LED light which glows in order to guide you through darkness and warn others of your presence. It provides the user 8 different heights for people of all heights. At $100, it is a device that I would certainly buy for someone who has difficulty in walking even.

Moreover, exercise is so important that even the sickliest people need to walk at least with the help of a walking stick like the Pedomostock. Go ahead and get your stick, and go get some exercise and burn calories, instead of wasting away in front of the television. This really is a cool and sophisticated device for the aged and others.

There are some gadgets that are wacky as hell. Here is a gadget that analyses your baby’s crying and tells you what the cry is all about. The Why Cry baby Analyser is a crazy gadget that would come to parents who do not have the time to decide why and for what reason their bawling baby maybe crying for.

It uses frequency analysis technology and depending on the frequency of your baby’s cry it tells you what the reason for the crying is. It tells you if your baby is Stressed, Sleepy, Annoyed, Bored or Hungry and lets you decide the step to be taken.

It has an LCD screen and is portable and comes with a symptoms chart. I guess parenting was never so easy! The Why Cry Baby Analyser costs $99.99 and is quite cheap. It is also one of the most ridiculous gadgets that I have come across.

The minute you decide to get a new TV for your living room, the first question that pops up in your head is- which one should I go for, LCD or plasma TV? Then you start comparing the prices, the companies, specifications, offers and what not. But, it’s not just the one-time investment price we need to consider while buying a new television. What’s more important is its energy consumption, which will affect your electricity bills in the days to come. So, let’s find out which of these would prove lighter on your power.

Considering the facts, both LCDs and plasma TVs consume less power compared to the conventional tube television sets that were used previously or are still being used now. Nevertheless, when the battle of energy efficiency is among the best of the bests, LCD emerges a winner, thanks to its florescent backlights that display images, which devours less power compared to plasma technology. Not just this, most of the LCDs are usually Energy Star rated that shows exactly how much power your TV would consume when it’s in a standby mode.

So, the next time you are buying a television set or advising anyone on it, go without trouble for an LCD. That would do well, for both you and the power-grid.

If you had been looking for something new in the field of TVs, you should probably look forward toward LG’s new LCD TV. Apparently, it is the world’s first Trumotion 480Hz LCD TV.
LG has proved its worth again by launching the world’s thinnest LED TV. The TV was launched at the CES 2009 and is already receiving rave reviews. If you were planning to buy a television, you might just want to wait a little while till the price and availability details are out. The LG LH95 measure only 24.8mm in thickness and has 240Hz TrueMotion Drive technology which will make your viewing an out of the world experience.

The LG LH95 also has 2,000,000:1 contrast ratio which certainly is something to be admired. It still isn’t known when the TV will be unveiled but for now, we know that the TV certainly is the thinnest ion the world. It also isn’t known how expensive or cheap the TV will be.

Usually LG makes sure the prices are competitive and wouldn’t usually be steeply priced. All said and done, the LG LH95 comes with great specifications, technology and of course being so thin, it also looks sleek and elegant. I would say, if you are planning to purchase a TV, just wait it out, for you never know, the LH95 might just fit your bill.

The last time you wanted to stare at the beautiful actor/actress and the power just went even as you were gawking at him/her, you must have cursed without any guilt. Sharp Corp has developed a technology wherein this annoying problem is solved. The technology allows the LCD panel to have a memory function which lets it ‘remember’ what was on the screen even when the power supply id disconnected. The panel comes in many different sizes and uses a cholesteric LCD material.

At the moment, nothing much is known as the company is refusing to divulge details. This could actually be used in public signage than in homes and apparently will consume a lot of power. Another interesting feature of the LCD is that it is very resistant to extremes of temperatures and can function between -25 to +55 degree centigrade.

The cost of the LCD may also be a little on the higher side as the materials that are used are not quite the same as the ones in regular LCD screens. Nevertheless, the memory function of the LCD screen will be well received.

Like we have mentioned earlier, during times of difficulties, people try to spend more and live life luxuriously, in a state of denial. Now that the recession has reached even the nooks and corners of the world, it shouldn’t be surprising to find an almost unnecessary gadget in your kitchen. If the previous rangehood bored you to death, why not have a TV fixed to it?

Australia’s ILVE has got an Italian to design the VELA rangehood which comes with a 10″ LCD monitor. The catch is, you may need to crane your neck to watch the sleek looking LCD TV which would be perched close to the roof, unless you want your rangehood at nostril levels. The funnier part would be the AV inputs to connect a DVD player.

It is also expected to sell at a premium price, so if you have loads of cash still stashed in your bank, and you want to forget the recession blues, get yourself the VELA rangehood. However, I would spend on something more unassuming like a year’s supply of beer or a real good flat screen TV that can be hung on the wall of the kitchen, so that I can watch some cooking program without craning my neck to look at the roof.
