CES 2010: Logitech Introduces All New Heat Dissipating Pad With Integrated Speakers For Notebooks

Logitech, one of the foremost computer peripherals manufacturing company has announced an all new heat dissipating notebook pad at the Consumer Electronics Show 2010, that not only keeps the laptops cool, but with the integrated speakers, it also promises high-quality audio.

The all new Logitech Speaker Lapdesk N700 has in built fan that is designed to provide adequate ventilation to the laptop placed on the pad, thus keeping the machine cool and providing optimal operating temperature and with the speakers embedded at either side of the pad, users will be able to enjoy a much rich sound than that provided by a conventional laptop.

The Logitech Speaker Lapdesk N700 has been designed as a play and play device with a USB connector and does not require additional software. The placement of the N700 Pad is such that, the display of the laptop is left at a very comfortable angle, thus making it a very pleasurable experience for the users. This device will be available commercially from the month of February this year and will cost $79.99.

Squeezebox Touch And Squeezebox Radio From Logtech For Music Addicts

If you are a music fanatic then you’re most probably logged on to lastfm.net 24/7. Then again, you may not as lucky as those people who can pay to listen to music from all over the world and from any time period. In that case, you’re probably stuck with a radio that is so last century.

Welcome in the new and the latest with the Squeezebox Radio and the Squeezebox Touch. The two devices from Logitech are Wi-Fi enabled and appears much like a stereo with a video display. The Squeezebox touch is the sleeker and more stylish of the two with a 4.3 inch touch screen. Apart from wireless connection, it can also connect via USB, has an SD card slot and can connect to speakers.

The Squeezebox Radio looks more traditional with the tuning knob and has a color screen display showing cover art and track info. You can stream music from the more famed music sites likes Napster, Pandora, and others. The Squeezebox Radio which also includes 6 preset buttons will be available in September for $200. The Squeezebox Touch will be available from December for $300.

Performance MX Mouse by Logitech Works on Glass Surfaces

Logitech has unveiled a cool new mouse which works without a mouse pad and that too on a glass surface. It is always annoying to use mouse pads over slick and chic glass tables as they not only mar the look but they actually end up making you feel like a weird geek. Performance MX mouse comes with a weird and strangely named Darkfield Laser Tracking technology.

The mouse has a wireless dongle controls both your mouse and the keyboard. It is quite expensive and costs $100, but I guess with a mouse like that I would be willing to pay anything indeed. It even looks quite chic in spite of all the high technology that is involved in the making of the mouse.

The Performance Mouse MX will be amazingly simple to use and it would also have an accompanying mouse released which would be called the Anywhere Mouse MX which is more portable and also works on the glass. It costs $80. I would say, go grab them!

Xbox 360 Gets An All New Guitar Wireless Controller from Logitech

It seems like, it’s an open season for Logitech with its continuous launching of new products and services. Here at Trends Update, we covered an all new free voice dialing service from Logitech today and now again we are going to introduce a new gadget from Logitech.

Today, Logitech introduced a brand new marvelous gadget for one of the most popular games on Xbox 360, Guitar Hero World Tour. The all new Wireless Guitar Controller for Xbox 360 has a maximum operating range of an astounding 30 feet and will enable players to create their own riffs and guitar compositions, save them and share them with friends and family.

Logitech’s Wireless Guitar Controller for Xbox 360 will be available in the United States of America for $199.99. The European price for this extraordinary gaming accessory hasn’t been revealed yet. However, it is slated to be released in August this year.

Most of the other such gaming accessories are quite bulky and noisy at the same time. However, Logitech claims that their latest innovation would be ‘virtually silent’ and the strum bar as well the buttons for the Wireless Guitar Controller will be ultra quite and quite easy to play with.

For some time now, I have been a great fan of the Guitar Hero series and I have been very much dissatisfied with many of the other guitar controllers. However, since the news about the release of this cool gadget, I truly can’t wait to try my hands on it. I have tried numerous Logitech accessories and so far they have always been exactly what they were promised to be.

As of now, Logitech hasn’t announced any plans of bringing the Wireless Guitar Controller for Xbox 360 to India. However, with the ever increasing hard-core gaming culture in the sub-continent, it is my belief that it wouldn’t be long before this beauty is available for Indian customers as well.
