One of the leading electronic appliances giants, Sanyo has unveiled an all new electric pedaled hybrid bicycle, called “eeloop” at the Consumer Electronics Show 2010 (CES). This latest innovation from Sanyo has earned the “Best of Innovation” by the CES panel of judges and the company has extended an offer to all journalist, bloggers and analysts to come give the bike a test ride. The eeloop has also bagged the highest scores in the Eco-Design and Sustainable Technology Category.

The eeloop is a pedal assisted hybrid electric cycle that sports three operational modes, namely, standard, power-up and auto, where the rider can choose to ride the bike by sheer muscle power, use pedal assistance along with electric motor, or run the bike completely on electricity provided by the motor located in the front hub of the bicycle.

Sanyo has also announced its plant to unveil an electric vehicle solar charging station at Showstoppers CES 2010. Some of the most salient components that comprise he Sanyo solar charging station include HIT (Heterojunction with Intrinsic Thin-layer), Double bifacial solar panels, crystalline silicon-type solar cells and this planned solar power station will be able to provide adequate power to charge all types of electric vehicles, including cars and ebikes.

Sanyo has come up with a new eneloop Kairo portable handwarmer that is small enough to fit into a pocket and carry with you everywhere. Available in two models of single side and double side versions, the eneloop Kairo is egg-shaped and fits snugly into your hands. The single side version offers nearly 4 hours of warmth with about three hours of charging and reaches 102 to 109 degrees Fahrenheit. The double sided version reaches slightly higher degrees of warmth (till 115 degrees) but it also needs four and half hours of charging to provide three hours of warmth.

The Sanyo eneloop Kairo single side version is good for over 500 charges and is available for $35 in white and pink and the double sided version is available for $45 in silver and pink.
