Fatty and refined foods, or a diet of processed foods, worsen the risk of depression by as much as 58 percent. This is the conclusion of a recent study conducted by British scientists on 3,500 adults over a period of five years.

Normally, stress can make us grab some ice cream or a bar of chocolate, not knowing that such foods can eventually lead to more stress. They only relieve the malady for the moment. Comfort food, after all, is to make us feel better and give us some sense of well-being.
