Xeros has just created what is being touted as a virtually waterless washing machine. If the idea is truly workable, them I must say it is going to be remarkable. It replaces water with nylon polymer beads and has been the brainchild of Professor Stephen Burkinshaw. The University of Leeds professor has been quite a remarkable researcher by developing something that saves water, as it has been noted that millions of gallons of water are wasted in washing clothes.

It will also use every little detergent and it becomes all the more easy to save detergent and also stop using toxic material to remove dirt. It can leave a significantly smaller carbon footprint than when one washes with normal washing machines.

The Waterless Washing Machine is scheduled to be released in 2010 and I am sure the whole world would be waiting for its eventual launch. This would be particularly useful in arid areas and moreover it would inculcate a habit of saving water among people.
