This awesome product takes the term ‘take your music anywhere’ to a completely new level. The Ripple is a Bluetooth headset which looks much like an earring, leading me to the assumption that this was designed mainly with pretty girls in mind but that is just an assumption because men are quite free to use this. The circular black headset with concentric rings on the surface looks extremely stylish and comes equipped with a clasp so you can clip it to your earlobes.

The concept wireless headphone was designed by Ilya Fridman can be activated with the talk function via its mic or by pressing the center button. The chic earring headphone would deliver your favourite music without disturbing others. Me wants!

Dr. Steve Mann is a leading researcher bin the field of cyborgs and has been working on humans interacting with computers. In fact, it has been a long term dream of many to have wearable computers that allow you to combine the efficiency of computers with the reasoning of human beings. Wearable computers shall have an ‘always on’ facility and could be like a natural part of the body.

This would mean, the mini computer might be embedded inside the human body and this could help the wearer have a sort of sixth sense. These are not like smart phones that need to be carried but the wearable computer would be worn inside the body; that is, it would almost be like an organ within the body.

These computers have applications in smart clothing, military, product testing and many other fields but wearable computers are a more developed version of wearable technology. I would be interested to know how this field develops and if it can ever be commercialized. That also makes us come face to face with the ethical question of humans turning into cyborgs.

Humongous belt buckles may be out of fashion but then that doesn’t stop fashion unconscious geeks from making the biggest fashion faux pas of the century. Before you completely reject the idea of carrying this ancient style, hear out Casey’s idea for the resurrection.

Casey is so in love with music and obsessed with the idea that he may one day be marooned on an island in some far away galaxy and find himself unable to listen to the soothing tunes of a Cradle of Filth number that he decided the only way to save himself from that very possible situation is to wear his music. And that is where the big belt buckle comes into place. Setting the creative electronic fields of his mind moving, Casey found a way to insert an mp3 player development board into this funky looking golden belt buckle that strangely had the right-sized opening in the middle, almost as though the buckle knew it was destined to host an mp3 player. Well, there you go, guys, you can’t fight fate!

What’s really cool about this creation is that changing tunes requires not the use of finicky fingers but for you to truly bust a move. The guys at ThinkGeek have something cool again, as usual and in fact it is becoming rather monotonous to find awesome products on a daily basis. However, no one is complaining and certainly I am not. The latest find is the Real T-shirt Based ROCK which happens to be an electronic t-shirt that doesn’t just sport the pictures of rock drums, but can actually play them!

Now you might be shocked but the t-shirt features a playable drum kit on the front and all you would need to do is use your fingers to hit the drums and the built in speaker would rock the body, err, party. The t shirt can play 7 different sounds and comes in black colour.

The t-shirt requires 4 AAA batteries and can be washed in your washing machine. Imagine wearing clothes that make music! In fact, I am imagining clothes that will soon start to talk and counsel you, when you get bored or depressed. The Electronic Drum Kit Shirt can be bought for $29.99. I would say, this is a lot better than buying a dumb t-shirt with a dumber rock star printed on it.

Winter is fast approaching and it’s time to take out those gloves. Imagine having your fingers bitten by frost or worse, looking ghastly in one of those ugly gloves! Also, gloves need not protect your hands from cold, because many of them are bad enough to make you feel colder than you would be without them.

Just wool may not keep you warm from sub zero temperatures and that is when you need electronics to keep your hands warm and cozy. These gloves can be switched on when your fingers start to feel really cold. The gloves come packed with technology that makes sure your hands remain warm artificially if not naturally.

The gloves come in both men’s and women’s sizes and can run up to 6 hours after charging. These gloves are however on the expensive side and cost $259 for a pair. I would think of wearing them if I’m visiting some place like Moscow or a mid-western town. Perhaps in places like California, just my pockets in the jeans I wear must be enough to keep my hands warm.
