If vegans are fond of proclaiming that an apple a day would keep the doctor away then it is egg’s side that the non-veg would opt to take. no clue on whether this place was designed by a staunch egg-arian but the thought behind the design appears to be the same.
The Taiwan Centre for Disease Control’s BioLab may have been inspired by the Nautilus Shell but it is not designed after any sea creature. Shaped much like a giant egg from outside, the BioLa’s design holds a greater secret. The outer shell of the BioLab is done up in intricate geometric designs which is a representation of the four symbols of the DNA sequence, not of any human, but a bacteria being researched within. The lab was designed by Manfredi Nicoletti in collaboration with Arco Architects & Designers and also includes a green-roofed complex surrounding the two egg-like structures.
The lab also has central atrium and the shell itself works as brise-soleil to keep the interior climate just right for those within. The design was part of a competition that invited new designs for the creation of the lab.
