With the continuing offensive against he Taliban, it has been a chaotic scene in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas or FATA in Pakistan. Pakistani armed forces and U.S drone attacks have been wreaking havoc on the Taliban militia.

Last week, an unmanned drone of the U.S Air Force attacked the funeral of a Taliban fighter, barely missing its primary target, Baitullah Mehsud, Commander, Taliban forces in Pakistan. Yesterday, in yet another drone attack, 10 militants were killed and several other wounded. The attack took place in the South Waziristan region of Pakistan, amid the ongoing Pakistani army offensive against the Taliban.
Taliban has bee long targeting U.S and coalition troops stationed in Afghanistan and such suicide attacks been increasing in the past several months. To counter these threats, U.S armed force have stepped up the unmanned attacks against militant strongholds in the barren outbacks of FATA.
According to U.S intelligence officials, three missiles were fired at militant hideouts near the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, that is known to controlled by the Taliban and Al-Qaeda. Ina statement, an intelligence official said.
“The missiles hit an office of Mufti Noor Wali, who was once in charge of training militants for suicide attacks. It was not known if Wali was among the dead, or if any foreign militants had been killed. ”
This latest drone attack coincides with a massive offensive operation launched by U.S marines against the Taliban in Afghanistan. The offensive is currently under way in the the southern Afghan province of Helmand. To support this massive ground operation, British troops stationed in Afghanistan have already seized and secured crucial crossings.
