If you have ever tried your hand in getting your website designed or if you are associated with web development, you would know the advantages and disadvantaged of HTML and Flash based websites. While Flash is visually attractive, it is not SEO friendly, and web crawling is quite tough. HTML allows search engines to crawl easily but does not look that great.
FluidHTML is a new start up which is participating in TechCrunch50 this week. FluidHTML or FHTML is a cross between HTML and Flash and is also very easy to be used. The server based FHTML needs about a million or two million dollars in funding for further development by October.
In my opinion, it might be difficult to change the whole web scenario from the current HTML/Flash to future FHTML. However, the developers behind the start up seem enthusiastic and confident, and there certainly has to be a reason for that. A really interesting start up, I must say.
