Classifieds were always one of the biggest reasons why people bought newspapers. Once Craigslist came online, it just had to die. However, at TechCrunch50 there were many more interesting classifieds like services which are all new start ups that need encouragement.
In fact, if you visit the 4 sites that PC Mag chose, you would be surprised to learn that all the 4 are equally useful. I would say, just go ahead and visit RefMob, LocalBacon, Yext and RedBeacon to actually know what they offer. They all offer b2b and also b2c classifieds and also a way to connect between two different people.
So go ahead and see if this is going to work out for you, and I am sure classifieds would never be the same again. You could learn how to manage spam, apply for jobs, flip through next generation Yellow Pages, and much much more. I would be really excited to use all the four different services announced at the TechCrunch50.
