
In times of crisis and cut of expenses, what does the population prefer to abdicate and what does the one prefer to maintain?
At least for English the technology is something indispensable, and until the annual vacations are left out so that the people can guarantee their TV, their cellular or their computer.
A study published by Ofcom, office of communications of United Kingdom, showed that in spite of the feeding to be priority in the budget of English, those prefer the technology to any other reason in second place in their preferences.
The reason of the preference would be the crisis that forces the people exactly to pass inside more time inside their houses and far away from friends and relatives. Without leaving, people watch much more television and more time on the internet, besides they use more the cellular to speak with their friends and family.
“Despite the recession, people are spending more time watching TV, using their mobile phone or accessing the internet. They would rather do without meals out or holidays than give up their phone, broadband or pay TV package.” Said Ofcom’s Peter Phillips to the the BBC.
The research also revealed that they are being more careful with the money that they spend with technology.
