By now, the World Solar Challenge held in Australia each year has gained such an international acclaim that it is no longer just another racing event between the top university students across the globe. The phenomenal race which tests both the innovative latest technology stemming from young creative minds and the will o those who actually take part in this 3000 km voyage on wheels is all set to once again steal the show Down Under. With teams from across the globe staking a claim to the prestigious ‘green solar crown’, we have another contender throwing its hat in the ring.

21revolution is the vehicle on which students of University of Twente are pinning their hopes and this Ferrari of the solar world is sleek and compact machine that derives the maximum from the sun and is prepared to endure the tough conditions of the race. Clad completely in dazzling red, the lens-like surface of the solar panels on the vehicle is aimed at increasing efficiency and output. While we will have to wait and watch in regards to how well the Twente Team does in the 10th World Solar Challenge, we would surely wish them nothing but the very best…
