The Apple iPhone has found its way into just about every aspect of our lives, whether it be sports, entertainment or healthcare, the applications designed for the iPhone has changed the way we live. However, there are certain aspects that have seen the use of the iPhone in an entirely different manner, as proven by Ryan from New Zealand, who created an entire kitchen computer system, on the Apple iPhone theme.
The all new iPhone inspired kitchen computer is essentially composed of standard and computer hardware components and the only similarity to the Apple iPhone is the theme of the display of the computer that is modeled on the iPhone. The concept was derived from the request of Ryan’s wife, who needed a computer in the kitchen with a touchscreen and without the heavy hardware taking up the space of the kitchen. Furthermore, the kitchen computer was also required to have an active internet connection and a TV input as well. Thus began the iPhone themed kitchen computer project.
What Ryan was amazing in the manner, that instead of buying computer off the shelf of a store, he decided to gather the necessary components and design a computer of its own. The new kitchen computer consists of a touch screen monitor, a 1GB Intel P55 motherboard, 3GB RAM, 800 GB hard disk and an Intel Core i5 processor. The end result came out to be an elegant kitchen PC, that runs, Skype, Twitter, iTunes, manage to do lists among other useful tasks.
