This ‘Cloud Bike’ concept is a show stopper, an absolute beauty! I can only imagine Batman riding one to victory. This breathtaking bike has been designed by Ankit Thapliyal, a 24 year old budding designer from India.
This concept bike was never meant to be a real motorcycle- it was just an outlet for Ankit’s design exercise where he let his imagination go wild. For one, the bike is fuelled by atomic energy and also has an afterburner. And two, only a superhero will be able to take it off the stand!
“I set out to shape a motorcycle between two wheels and there it is. Although these wheels were first bike and see how they have done to live up to the design”, says Ankit. Ankit says that the Cloud Bike is not a realistic design but a motorcycle comic. He is happy to transfer the rights incase someone wants to do a comic with it. His dream, however, remains to design a bike for an Indian firm like Bajaj or Hero Honda.
Ankit was also noticed a couple of years ago with his Ram 1000 in a contest sponsored by Aprilia. Ankit is a programming expert and is pursuing studying art in New Delhi.

Look up “cloud motorcycle.” This motorcycle here is completely based on the bikes used in the Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children movie. This design is not new or original by any means. He simply recreated the motorcycle from the movie used by the main character Cloud, hence why he named this piece “Cloud Bike.” If Ankit is ever able to actually construct this bike, then that will be impressive. Until then, this is no more than just a piece or glorified fan-art, not some amazing, masterful, unique and original design. It’s a copy.
