This home is a melding of indoors and outdoors. The effect is total cool. There is a two-story courtyard confined within perimeter walls. One can view it as an indoor mini-park. The house is built around the concept of the courtyard. Most rooms have huge sliding doors that showcase the stillness of the courtyard outside, while opening up to the interior space outside. The largest spaces are reserved for the outdoor component of the home. The interior spaces are relatively smaller, to give them a cozy and snug feel.

The house is really a triangular house. It’s open-air, yet very private. The sliding glass walls open the whole house up. The keyword is quaint- in a very modernist way. The indoors and outdoors may look different in terms of ambience but are made from the same dimensions, structuring, finishes, and furniture – making the entire property look like one expansive unified combination of garden and interiors. Peace, quiet, and tranquility are what will greet anyone who visits this place. Although, it can have a rather desolate quality to it, if there’s no sunshine outside.

A post-modern Zen design where the residents can live and commune with nature in their everyday lives is what makes this house a superb conceptual design. Looking like a spa resort, one can have a bath while feeling cool and fresh amidst the ambience of the outdoors. White, gray, and brown are the dominant colors of the house. The green hues from plants in the courtyard complement the minimalist color scheme. Glass and wood are the materials that dominate the concept.
