With ever increasing space crunch, the demand for space saving furniture is seeing an upward trend. Keeping this need in mind, Swedish freelance designers Sanna Lindström and Sigrid Strömgre, have joined hands to launch Grand Central. Their first creation together, Grand Central, is an innovative expandable table that has the capacity to become a big round, centre piece in the room as well as reduce many folds to take shape of a small side table. Taking different shapes and sizes, is one the most promising characteristic of this piece of furniture.
The tabletop is divided into 22 pieces that folds out in an impressive manner. It has been possible through a precise construction. Apparently, the idea of the design popped up from the pop-up map of New York. This furniture is bound to enhance the look of the room. When your guests come over, Grand Central table can act as a dining table and once they leave you could use it as your side table. When not in use they can also be folded and kept aside.
Big tables eat up a lot of space, smaller and minimal furniture render a more spacious look to a room. This foldable furniture can be a boon especially at the time of shifting.
