The Greening of US Economy in the Midst of an Economic Recession

The greening of the economy or more specifically defined as steering away from a fossil fuel economy needs billions of dollars to realize. Entire power grids and energy inputs will have to be revised and updated. The revision is huge, down to the last light bulb that needs to be replaced. Is this extremely major leap in league with the current US recession? The answer is definitely yes. For starters, the change will be worth every cent, in the long run and over the long haul. A carbon economy is ultimately economically debilitating.

Corporate America isn’t giving up on the idea of greening their businesses in spite of the current financial dire straits. The companies have their sights set on the future that they obviously regard as better and brighter past this economic meltdown. Business owners believe that being environmentally sound only translates to a healthy bottom line. Corporate America has also recognized the fact that the environment is deteriorating and drastic action is needed to hopefully reverse the situation.

US business favors the environmental cause. In a recent survey, they pledge to continue supporting green investments that are in line with pollution and energy policies. Theirs is a personal desire to do so. They also promise to continue contributions to environmental causes. A lot of these businesses believe that they should adhere to the highest possible environmental standards. Many companies have instituted corporate green policy that includes recycling and energy saving. The future of the US may just lie in the hands of corporate America.
