In a sinister turn of events, Prime Ministerial candidate Benjamin Netanyahu has claimed Iran is the greatest threat. He has vowed to protect Israel at all costs and that Iran could be threat to “our existence”. The statement made comes after reading about covert killings of Iranian scientists.

Though Iran is run by a group of Islamic radicals, they pose lesser threats than many other nations that claim to protect themselves and other nations like them. Middle East and South Asia certainly are parts of the world that are totally in a mess, to say the least. Religion, old enmities, poverty, and refusal to give up warmongering mentality will certainly lead this part of the world closer to hell.

The riots, corruption and violence in India, Tamil terrorists using civilians as human shields in Sri Lanka, Talibanization of Pakistan, Opium trade in Afghanistan, impending invasion of Iran, Invaded Iraq, troubled Arab countries, and insecure Israel are enough to lead this religious hotbed of the planet to a hell that no religious textbook could ever have described. It is in the interest of the people in the Middle East and South Asia to learn from their past mistakes and give up fundamentalism, hatred, pre-emptive strikes and violence, for a better future of people there.
