Talk about robots and anything that is connected to robots, it’s Japan that comes into everybody’s mind. This time around, we came across a robotic wheelchair called “The Indoor Personal Mobility Robot,” which is developed by the University of Tokyo as a prototype juts yet. However, it could later be ameliorated and be available in the market as well. The Indoor Personal Mobility Robot has sensors in it, which help in recognizing when somebody is occupying it.
Once you settle down on the round cushion, your movements such as; leaning forward, back and turning side-side will pass signals to the chair where you want to go. This will be ideal for the old folks who love to ensconce in their armchair most of the time. It wouldn’t be too bad an idea to actually rest on a robotic wheelchair.
In fact, it will be restorative after spending a hard and a tiring day at work. There is no further information regarding its progress. I so wish it gets released in the market soon. Quite interestingly, The Indoor Personal Mobility Robot looks a tad cute with its small eyes.
