The Minute Glass: An Alarm Clock with A Difference

glass The Minute Glass: An Alarm Clock with A Difference

An aversion to getting up in the morning is a common problem for many people. Alarm clocks just do not seem to be of any help either. Colin Roberts has created a the “The Minute Glass”, which is an alarm clock that will surely pull you out of your warm bed.

The trick played by this alarm clock is simple. It doesn’t have the snooze button and it keeps ringing relentlessly. The only way to stop the ringing is to shake it hard and while you do that your sleep is vanished. The interesting part of the Minute Glass is that it wakes you up to your favorite radio station as it has incorporated a radio in it. The logic is to wake you up in a good mood. The Minute Glass doesn’t use electricity or batteries nor is it connected to any wall. Hence, it doubles up as a LED flashlight. It is powered by a simple magnetic induction, which occurs when it’s shaken enough.

This beautiful concept was derived by inverting a classic hourglass of which the outside part is made of glass. It however is not known when the concept would be manufactured and if it ever would be marketed.
