Singapore, one among the world’s striving cities for living, working, and holidaying has learnt to rise notwithstanding the restraints of urban crowding. Of late, the city shifted its main port to Jurong, thereby leaving lots of new land at the Marina Bay area for development. This is where the NBBJ Architects set their foundation stone for The Sail @ Marina Bay.

Nearing completion, The Sail comprises a couple of glowing sail-shaped skyscrapers stimulated by the sun, wind, and water and is expected to bag the Singapore’s Gold Standard of Sustainability badge this year. The multi-purpose building accommodates restaurants, health clubs, recreation decks with pools and tennis courts and parking at the service of some of the loftiest apartments in the world, which would be the first to be built in the area.

The Sail seeming to be perfect for the city’s skyline is expected to cut down the carbon emissions of the population dense area to an extent. It would surely give Singapore one of the world’s most coveted residences!
