Most of the world’s electronic companies are turning green, and Samsung would surely not stay behind. In an alliance with one of the finest telecommunication company Sprint, Samsung has unveiled a green and gorgeous cell phone made of bio-plastic extracted from corn.
Clad in almost 80 percent recycled materials, this tubby sliding, QWERTY message-friendly eco-phone is PVC and BFR-free (brominated flame-retardants). Being called ‘Reclaim’, the phone would be available in nature’s hues-”Earth Green” or “Ocean Blue” and is expected to cost $50 (after a $30 instant rebate and $50 mail-in rebate) including a two-year contract. The phone features 2-mega pixel camera, stereo Bluetooth, and accepts microSD cards up to 32GB. It also comprises Sprint Navigation onboard.

Due this August 16th, the phone would be wrapped up in an ecofriendly package made out of 70 percent recycled materials that has printing with a soy-based ink. Not just this, the $2 profit from the purchase of this super-eco cell phone would be directed towards the Nature Conservancy’s Adopt an Acre program. Now, there’s a lot that’s green in it, right!
