Well, old timers would remember that the white 1976 Lotus Esprit, which was featured in the 1977 movie ‘The Spy Who Loved Me’ was one of the coolest and most beautiful cars ever shown on the big screen. Moreover, the glamorous Barbara Bach and Roger Moore sizzled in the car and now, the vehicle is on auction for interested buyers. It is expected to fetch 100,000 to 120,000 Pounds.

The car is known for its amphibian nature and how it could travel both on land and water. If that were not enough, the AU1 registration number from another James Bond movie Goldfinger, would also be on sale. This awesome registration number is expected to fetch a whopping 80,000 Pounds.

I wonder why anyone would want to spend so much of money on a number plate when you could buy an amazing sports car for that price. Well, the rich have a pattern of thinking that is slightly different from us folks. And yes, I wouldn’t mind buying one of those beautiful Lotus Esprit, if only my banker would oblige.
