British designer Thomas Mascall knows what it takes to save the environment and he also knows what it means to use plastic unnecessarily. He has designed a chic new torch that makes use of bamboo as its body or shell, instead of usual plastic.

The torch looks really well designed and the way you can actually take it wherever you want and also create awareness about the ill effects of using non bio-degradable materials like plastic is something invaluable. The Bamboo Torch gets its power from batteries and the LEDs make sure even the light that is generated is clean, green and energy saving in nature. In fact, the LED light consumes very less energy and thus makes it a great gadget to be buying.

The Bamboo Torch is very durable and is sturdy too, and thus you can keep using it for a very long time. The more we advance technologically, the more we shall have to move closer to nature and that is the irony of it all.
