Staying in a cold northerly city is never easy. Snow falls, accumulates and causes a great deal of inconvenience. It is because of this issue that snowy regions have houses that are built in a different manner so as to get rid of the accumulated snow. Timberline Lodge is one such winter house that is located in Oregon, a state in the U.S.A.

It was designed by rhiza A + D Architect and is built in such a manner that the accumulated snow can be handled easily. Thanks to a number of parabolic arches, you could be sure that the double skin translucent polycarbonate panels handle snow effectively, no matter how bad the snow drifts are.

It is also tastefully designed and looks great, and if you wish to get your friends to visit you for winter, you do not have to be afraid of them being stuck inside the house because of the accumulated snow. It is indeed a great design that could make use of some commercialization for snow accumulation is a big problem in most northerly countries. It is not clear how much money it costs for a house like this to be built.
