Time Warner Cable in partnership with Optimum WiFi has announced the launch of an all new free wifi service in certain regions of New York City. The all new Time Warner Cable Wi-Fi service is absolutely free of cost for more than one million of the Road Runner subscribers and these hotspots can be accessed from various locations across NYC. This service has been introduced in partnership with Cablevision, wherein the customers of Time Warner Cable will be able to access numerous free Optimum WiFi locations in all the areas serviced by Cablevision.

Some of the places where, Time Warner Cabl3 Wifi service has been activated are, Manhattan, Long Island Railroad platforms, Queens and some of the parking lots that are under the coverage umbrella of Cablevision. With the help of the new free wifi service, users will now be able to access wifi hotspots of both the companies, i.e Time Warner Cable customers can access Optimum Wifi zones and Cablevision customers will have access to Time Warner Cable wifi zones. The wifi coverage area of Time Warner cable includes, Manhattan, Queens, Staten Island, western Brooklyn, Mt. Vernon, parts of the Hudson Valley region, and Bergen and Hudson Counties in New Jersey. Similarly, Cablevision covers areas such as Long Island, parts of New Jersey and Connecticut, Westchester, Rockland, Northern Hudson Valley, the Bronx, and Brooklyn.
