vierdonkey To Advertise in New, Old or Very Old Media?

When all the talk of the new media and old media is raging everywhere, the biggest issues are faced by ad agencies themselves. Ad Agency Vier Fuer Texas has launched a promotional poster that seeks to take on this difference between new and old media in a world that is ruled by ad space and media buying and selling.

The ad agency claims to develop and design ideas in new, old and very old media. The very old media apparently being on the warm back of a desert donkey. However, do not get the logic of the carrots being stuck in front of a demotivated donkey.

While the brief is good, the creative part of the ad, where the donkey looks disinterestedly at the carrots is something that backfires on the whole promotional poster. What could have been a interesting and intelligent ad is thus reduced to something that is redundant. Nevertheless, I must say the whole thing is very eye-catchy and attention grabbing.
